Tim Brennan, a former tennis player who needed a barefoot shoe to address ankle health issues, was behind the birth of the VIVOBAREFOOT shoes. He developed the first prototype of the shoes, but after the brand was connected to the Clarks brand, VIVOBAREFOOT gained more popularity.
